Élisabeth Ballet
Élisabeth Ballet is a French visual artist who explores sculpture as an impenetrable space and a physical challenge for the viewer. She exhibited at the Venice Biennale (1986) and gained recognition with Face à Main (1990). Her work plays with inaccessibility (Sugar Hiccup, 1996) and movement (Zip, 1997). At the Louvre (Bimp Piece, 2007), she questioned visual boundaries. Sept Pièces Faciles (2007) revisited her career with metal ladders and rubber pathways, exploring labor and contemplation.
