Zarina

Zarina was an Indian artist known for her minimalist approach to printmaking, woodcut, lithography, and silkscreen. Her work explores themes of home, memory, borders, and displacement, using thick lines and Urdu calligraphy. She was internationally recognized, exhibiting at major institutions like the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The retrospective Zarina: Paper Like Skin was held at the Hammer Museum and Guggenheim Museum. Zarina passed away in 2020.
