Alan Oju is a Brazilian visual artist and photographer exploring the tensions between the urban body and individual subjectivity. His work, spanning interventions, photography, video, and performance, focuses on cartographic exploration of public space.
He holds a Master’s degree in Visual Poetics from ECA/USP and has participated in programs such as the Photography Residency at LABMIS (Museum of Image and Sound). His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Art of Rio (MAR), MIS-SP, and MARP, and he has received the Visualidade Nascente Prize (2016) and the Arte Como Respiro Award from Itaú Cultural (2020).
