Armando Bogarín is a self-taught Paraguayan sculptor known for working with the native ysypo vine and natural materials. In 2016, he won the 8th Youth Sculpture Competition, earning a residency in the U.S. In 2017, he received the Matisse Prize and became the first Paraguayan to exhibit at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2018). In 2019, he showcased Ka’aguy rory at the Mulvane Art Museum at Washburn University.
