Ahaad Alamoudi is a contemporary Saudi artist born in 1991 in Jeddah. Her work investigates Saudi Arabia’s history, identity, and representation, blending her background in Visual Communication and Printmaking with a critical exploration of the country’s evolving ethnography. Raised between England and Saudi Arabia, her bicultural experience informs her artistic practice, allowing her to challenge traditional narratives about the region.
She graduated with a BA in Visual Communication from Dar Al Hekma University (2014) and earned an MA in Print from the Royal College of Art (2017). Her work has been exhibited internationally at Parallel Kingdom at the Station Museum (Houston), Genera#ion at the Minnesota Street Project (San Francisco), and Phantom Punch at the Bates College of Art (Lewiston, Maine). In 2018, she was awarded the Crossway Foundation x Middle East Now Festival Residency in Florence.
Her artistic approach has gained recognition in The Guardian, where her role in addressing Islamophobia in Saudi Arabia was highlighted. Through her work, Alamoudi reinterprets Saudi history and questions the boundaries of its representation in a rapidly changing world.
