Adolfo Bimer (Santiago, Chile, 1985) is a Chilean visual artist whose work explores the intersection of art, science, and medicine. He holds a degree in Visual Arts with a specialization in Painting from the Universidad de Chile and has exhibited widely, including solo shows such as Escala humana (2019), Zoom (2017), and Próximas enfermedades (2015). His group exhibitions include Primavera viral (2020) and Desórdenes sistémicos: arte reciente desde Chile (2018).
Since 2014, Bimer has been the co-director of Sagrada Mercancía, an independent art space in Santiago dedicated to residencies, exhibitions, and discussions on contemporary art. His work investigates how medical imaging represents the human body and how scientific data shapes a collective understanding of health and disease. Through the reinterpretation of visual data, he seeks to restore a more personal and subjective connection to these concepts.
