Mariana López
Mariana López (b. 1981, Olivos, Argentina) explores the intersection of painting, writing, and archival research. Her work reflects on illusion, fiction, and reality, often engaging with historical traces in space. She studied at Skowhegan, the Staatschule Frankfurt, and the Kuitca Fellowship (UTDT). Solo shows: Fundación Klemm, Futbolitis, Munar, Mite, Espacio Kamm. Group shows: Museo Moderno, Parque de la Memoria, Fundación Cazadores. Awards: Klemm First Prize (2022), 8M Acquisition (2022). Her research projects led to the books Museo (2018/2020) and Muerte y miseria (2023). Also author of Velorio y velódromo (2015).
