Eduardo Iglesias Brikles
Eduardo Iglesias Brickles, born in Curuzú Cuatiá in 1944 and passing away in 2012, was an Argentine artist whose work combined woodcut painting, pop art, and political graphics. He trained at the Manuel Belgrano and Prilidiano Pueyrredón schools, developing a style influenced by German expressionism and Soviet posters.
Winner of the Manuel Belgrano Printmaking Prize in 1997 and the Grand Prize of Honor at the National Salon in 2000, he was also a professor, graphic designer, and journalist. His legacy includes over twenty solo exhibitions and a significant retrospective at the Museo Sívorí in 2005.
