Claire-Jeanne Jézéquel

Claire-Jeanne Jézéquel, a French sculptor and draftsman, explores space through folds, cuts, and fragmented lines that challenge the relationship between the visible and the tactile. Born in 1965 in Fontenay-aux-Roses, she studied in Grenoble, Nice, and Paris, developing a body of work that intersects abstract art and minimal architecture. She has been a resident at the Villa Medici in Rome and the Fondation Cartier, exhibiting her work in major museums and art institutions in France, the United States, Korea, and Australia. Her research on contemporary abstraction has shaped her teaching at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Nantes-Métropole since 1999.
