Carolina Vollmer

Carolina Vollmer is a Venezuelan visual artist based in Caracas. With a background in law from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, she explores installation, action art, and documentary video, addressing Venezuela’s sociopolitical landscape. She trained with prominent Venezuelan artists such as María Eugenia Arria and Antonio Lazo. Since 1998, her work has been exhibited internationally, including the Bogotá International Art Fair and at Galería Okyo in Caracas. Her most notable solo exhibitions include Pinturas (1998) and Diálogo Profundo (2005). Vollmer’s art stands out for its conceptual approach and its critique of social and political issues through object-based and performance art.
