Alicia Herrero
Born in 1984, Alicia Herrero is a prominent Argentine visual artist and graduate of the National University of the Arts (UNA) with a specialization in Painting and Engraving. Herrero is celebrated for her innovative approach, having received awards such as the Konex Award 2022 (Installation) and the National Prize for Artistic Career 2021.
Her works have been featured in major biennials like III BIENALSUR, VIII Bienal do Mercosul, and V Bienal de La Habana, and exhibited in institutions such as Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), MALBA (Buenos Aires), and the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires (MAMBA).
In 2007, Herrero founded LiPac, Argentina’s first artistic research lab, and has participated in international residencies in Mexico, Brazil, and the Netherlands. Her works are part of prestigious public collections in Argentina, Spain, and across Latin America.
