Juan Gugger

Juan Gugger (Córdoba, 1986) is an Argentine artist working in sculpture, installations, and video art. His work explores the speed of information and product consumption in contemporary society, examining how economic, emotional, and cultural factors interact with the physical environments he inhabits. Trained at the Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, he has participated in major international exhibitions such as Plateforme (Paris, 2021), Bienal Sur (Córdoba, 2021), and MACBA (Buenos Aires, 2019). He has been an artist-in-residence at prestigious institutions like Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris, 2019) and Getty Research Institute (Los Angeles, 2014). He has received significant awards, including the Terra Foundation Fellowship (Chicago, 2019) and the Gran Premio Kenneth Kemble (Buenos Aires, 2018). His work stands out for integrating conceptual elements with innovative media, inviting viewers to reflect on contemporary dynamics. Gugger lives and works in Paris, France.
