Wantanee Siripattananuntakul

Wantanee Siripattananuntakul (b.1974, Bangkok) is a Thai artist known for addressing social, political, economic, and cultural issues through her art. She works with various media, including sculptures, sound, video, and interactive installations, exploring themes that provoke thought and raise awareness about societal concerns. Recognized for her ability to highlight social issues through art, she represented Thailand at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2007. In 2016, she was selected as one of the 13 emerging Thai artists by Bangkok collectors. Notable works by Siripattananuntakul include Wantanocchiobot’09 (2009), Discontinuity (2012), Living with un Common Value (2012), Human AlieNation (2016), among others. Her works have been exhibited at prominent international institutions and biennials, establishing her as a critical voice in contemporary art.
