Alfredo Frías

Alfredo Frías, born in Buenos Aires in 1984, is a contemporary artist whose work has been featured in some of Argentina’s most renowned art spaces, including the National Museum of Fine Arts, Ruth Benzacar Gallery, Braga Menéndez Gallery, and MAC Salta. A graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the National University of Tucumán, Frías has been the recipient of multiple grants. These include the Training Grant from the National Fund for the Arts, which enabled him to participate in the URRA residency (2017), as well as group grants with Espacio La Punta and the Cooperativa de Jóvenes Artistas Tucumanos. At the 2017 Biennial, he developed Apuntes visuales para la reconstrucción de una historia negra, later presenting the finished work Queso presente. His art reflects a commitment to exploring social histories and collective narratives through innovative visual forms.
