Anahita Norouzi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal since 2018, with a focus on research-driven art that investigates marginalized histories, particularly the legacies of botanical explorations and archaeological excavations intertwined with colonial exploitation. Using sculpture, installation, photography, and video, her work challenges cultural and political perspectives on the "other," while exploring the complex relationships between displaced people, plants, and cultural artifacts. Norouzi's work has been widely exhibited internationally, including at renowned venues like the International Contemporary Art Biennial of South America and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
