Xavier Arenós

Xavier Arenós (1968) is a visual artist from Vila-real, living and working in Mataró. He is a co-editor of the artistic magazine Roulotte and a professor at the Massana School of Art in Barcelona. His work focuses on past utopian experiences that aimed to transform society. Arenós critically reinterprets and reconstructs these experiences, using DIY techniques to work with documents, architecture, and designs. Notable exhibitions include Entre el mito y el espanto at IVAM (2016), Indisposició general at Fabra i Coats (2015), and Casa Comuna in Mataró. His work has also been showcased at BOZAR in Brussels.
