Agustina Woodgate
Born in Buenos Aires in 1981, Agustina Woodgate is an internationally acclaimed artist whose work examines societal systems, value theories, and power structures. She transforms political boundaries, engages with displaced communities, and highlights domination through sculptural works, public interventions, and social interactions. Woodgate reimagines cartographies, sands maps and currency, and uses discarded materials to create impactful art that questions institutional politics and the organization of public and private spaces.
Her works have been featured at major events and venues, including the Whitney Biennial (New York), Biennial of the Americas (Denver), ArtPort (Tel Aviv), and MassMOCA (Massachusetts). Solo exhibitions include Cosmética (Spinello Projects, 2017) and Común y Corriente (Barro, Buenos Aires, 2016). She participated in Art Basel Week (Miami, 2019) and group exhibitions at The Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, Istanbul Design Biennial, and Peabody Essex Museum. In 2011, she founded Radioee.net, a multilingual nomadic online radio station. Living between Miami and Amsterdam, Woodgate continues to redefine contemporary art’s relationship with society and power.
