Andrei Thomaz

Andrei Thomaz (Brazil, 1981) is a visual artist and developer known for his pioneering work in net art in Latin America. With a Master's degree in Visual Arts, Thomaz works with software to create images by manipulating time, similar to long-exposure photography and time-lapse videos. His project "Time Machines" uses a webcam and custom-built software to condense periods of time into a single image. He also developed Candle Clock, based on ancient candle clocks. Thomaz has held solo exhibitions such as Adelina Gallery in São Paulo (2017) and Time Machine at Blau Projects (2014).
