Paula Senderowicz
Paula Senderowicz was born in 1973 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she lives and works. She holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, specializing in painting. Her work explores memory and identity through painting, in dialogue with the photographic archive of her grandfather, photographer Boleslaw Senderowicz, whose legacy she compiled and published. She has exhibited at institutions including the Centro Cultural Kirchner, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires, the Centro Cultural San Martín, the Casa Nacional del Bicentenario and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario, as well as Fundación Telefónica and Galería AFA in Santiago, Chile. She completed a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada. She received the First Acquisition Prize from Fundación Patagonia and L Oréal in 2005 and the Cultural Equality Prize from the Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación in 2013, among other distinctions. She teaches at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes.
