Julieta García Vázquez
Julieta G. Vázquez, born in Buenos Aires in 1978, is an artist focused on creating collective narratives through specific collaboration models. Her work fosters poetic fictions through alliances between various actors, offering responses to social situations.
She is a founding member of the Rosa Chancho collective, active in Buenos Aires since 2005.
Her work addresses the mutation of identities within a collaborative structure, seeking new forms of art and social interaction. Some of her most notable projects include "The Union of Poets and Bakers" at the Palais de Tokyo (2018), "The Society of Secret Images" at the Lyon Biennale (2019), "Occasional Museum of an Incredible Landscape" at Bienalsur (2021), and "I is Other," commissioned by the Van Abbemuseum (2011-2016). Her work has been essential in developing collective art projects, where collaboration plays a key role in artistic creation and social transformation.
