Juliana Iriart

Juliana Iriart was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1976, and lives and works between Chascomús and the City of Buenos Aires. She graduated from the Escuela Superior de Artes Visuales Martín A. Malharro in Mar del Plata in 1999 and continued her training in work clinics with Pablo Siquier and Mónica Girón, along with grants such as the Trama work-analysis program, Intercampos from Fundación Telefónica and the Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas. Her practice spans drawing, painting, installation, video and performative actions, focusing on giving visible form to everyday and sensory experiences. She has held solo exhibitions at Centro Cultural Recoleta, Liga, Zavaleta Lab and Moria Galería, all in Buenos Aires. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, the Centro Cultural Kirchner, the Museo Castagnino+macro in Rosario, Malba, Fundación Proa and the Fort du Bruissin Centre d Art Contemporain in France. She took part in the collective action Artesur Collective Fictions as part of an exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris.
