Daniel Merle

Daniel Merle is an Argentine photographer and curator born in 1954 in Buenos Aires. With a distinguished career in photojournalism, he worked for La Nación, Clarín, and Reuters. He holds a Master’s in Visual Arts Curation and is completing his PhD in Comparative Arts at UNTREF. He has won awards such as the Nikon International Contest (1979), the Pedro Joaquín Chamorro First Prize (1989), and Special Jury Mentions at the National Salon of Visual Arts (2015 and 2022). In 2014, he was a jury member for the World Press Photo Contest. He currently teaches at the University of San Isidro and conducts research at UNTREF.
