Alejandra Correa
Alejandra Correa is a poet, visual artist, and cultural manager from Uruguay, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has published books such as Río partido, Los niños de Japón, and Maneras de ver morir a un pájaro, and her work has been translated in international journals like Coal City Revue (Kansas, USA) and The Journal (London).
In 2014, she won Uruguay’s National Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature, and in 2013, she received Third Prize in Textile Art at the National Visual Arts Salon. She directs the Festival de Poesía en la Escuela and co-founded the independent publishing house La Gran Nilson, solidifying her influence in contemporary poetry and visual arts.
