Gabriel Baggio
Gabriel Baggio (Buenos Aires, 1974) is an Argentine artist whose work explores the connection between craftsmanship, memory, and identity. He graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and investigates collective processes and cultural resistance to contemporary speed. He has received awards such as the Grand Honor Prize at the UADE Salon (2012), First Prize at the Klemm Visual Arts Salon (2009), and the Under-35 Award at the LX National Salon of Rosario (2006). His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, MALBA, Fundación PROA, Frankfurter Kunstverein, World Bank in Washington, and the Museum of Modern Art in Dublin. He has participated in the Biennial of the Americas (Denver, 2010) and completed residencies in China, Mexico, and Ireland. His works are part of collections in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and England, establishing him as a key figure in contemporary art.
