Carlos Gallardo (1944-2008) was an Argentine visual artist known for his work in scenography, graphic design, and fine arts. In 2007, he won the Benois de la Danse Prize in Moscow for The Tempest. He designed sets for companies such as the Royal Ballet of Flanders and the English National Ballet. His work was showcased at ARCO, Art Chicago, and in museums like the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires and the Carrillo Gil Museum in Mexico. In 1997, he represented Argentina at the Havana Biennial of Memory.
