Giuliana Racco

Giuliana Racco is a Canadian visual artist based in Europe since 2002. With a graduate degree in Visual Arts from IUAV University in Venice, her work blends art and anthropology to explore human mobility and systems of control. She has taken part in residencies in Spain, the West Bank, and Israel, and has conducted workshops in universities, factories, and refugee camps. Her projects have been shown at Fundació Suñol, Fotomuseum Winterthur, Musée d’Art Moderne (Strasbourg), and SESC São Paulo. Racco investigates everyday resistance tactics and how individuals navigate systems that restrict movement. Her critical and poetic approach makes her a significant figure in contemporary art dealing with migration, autonomy, and collective resilience.
