The second edition of the Peace Forum in Paris chose BIENALSUR among 100 projects in the world that effectively contribute to achieve the best international cooperation for global challenges, a fairer and more equitable globalization, and a multilateral system which is more effective.
At the meeting in Paris, which brings together more than 70 heads of state, the host president, Emmanuel Macron; Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission; and the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, recalled the importance of international cooperation.
«We are proud that an initiative coming from a public university was the only one selected from Argentina to take part in this meeting that brings together specialists and the world media. In a moment rocked by conflicts, explosions against inequalities and the resurgence of currents that put democracies at risk, BIENALSUR offers, from a cultural standpoint, the possibility of creating geopolitical action that puts the creation of art at the service of dialogue and respect for differences», emphasized Aníbal Jozami, Director-General of the Biennial and Rector of the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF).
Jozami was chosen to debate on "The Dialogue of the Arts" with the French Minister of Culture, Franck Riester; the Minister of Culture of the United Arab Emirates, Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi; the Director of the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, Marina Loshak; and Thomas Kaplan, President of the Electrum Group.
This year, in its second edition, BIENALSUR is present in 47 cities in 21 countries.
